THE FIRST RESPONSE PROCESS

After studying industry professionals from around the globe, we’ve come up with a proven process which takes an average of 5-7 days to deliver optimum results. We start by dis-assembling all doors and hardware and relocating those materials to the First Response workshop. From there we prep, sand, stain, prime and paint (if required) and finally assemble back in your home. We will work an average of 3-4 days within your space. We understand how disruptive our presence is to your daily life and routine, and have strategic systems in place to be as efficient and effective as possible. Much like a First Response team, we react quickly, safely and methodically to ensure your cabinets are saved!

STEP ONE

The first step is for us to remove the doors and drawers, along with their hardware and take them to our shop to begin the prep process before they can be primed and painted.

STEP TWO

The next few days we will be working within your home. While working in your home, we will tape, paper, and plastic off anything needed to protect the counters, and appliances.

STEP THREE

After everything is taped off, we will begin priming and painting over the next few days

STEP FOUR

Once the painting is complete, we will remove all of the tape, paper, and plastic and do the final touchups before the doors are installed.

STEP FIVE

Once the doors are patched, primed with 2 coats, painted with 2 top coats and the hardener for extra durability,  we will reinstall as soon as they are ready and the project is complete!

OUR PRODUCTS

We use only the highest quality European wood coatings on your cabinetry, rated so by chemists, technicians and leaders that are at the top of the industry. Our products provide levels of scratch and abrasion resistance difficult to obtain with traditional technologies. On top of already being very durable, we add a catalyst which hardens the products for extra durability!

INDUSTRIAL WOOD COATINGS

The wood coatings we use are a very durable 2k poly - also known as Industrial wood coatings. They are designed and developed by approximately 200 chemists and technicians in the European Research and Development Laboratories of the IVM Group. The coatings have a drastic reduction in VOCs, excellent resistance to yellowing, along with perfect fill and a remarkable aesthetic finish.

MACHINERY & EQUIPMENT

We use the top of the line fine finishing sprayer. It is a high volume low pressure machine that is ideal for spraying furniture and cabinets for a fine finish. We also use a top of the line sander that has sanding pads with a sponge like quality to sand into every groove necessary for that perfect store bought quality finish.
